A Funeral Mass for Dorothy (Coffey) Daniels, 96, will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in the Church of Saint Luke, Belmont.
Mrs. Daniels, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Eva (Morse) Coffey, was born in Moosup, Conn. She was a graduate of Plainfield High School in Conn. and Miss Foley’s Business School in Worcester. Prior to her marriage she had been the office manager at Ashland Corp. in Jewitt City, Conn.
Mrs. Daniels, a resident of Watertown for 53 years before moving to the Inn at Silver Lake in Kingston six years ago, was a great cook, a daily communicant, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She died on Friday, May 28, 2010, in the Jordan Hospital, Plymouth, after a brief illness.
She was the beloved wife for 62 years of the late Herbert W. Daniels, Jr. who died in July 2004; devoted mother of Sarah A. Fortin and her husband Paul of Kissimmee, Fla. and Robert J. Daniels and his wife Sue of Bridgewater; sister of the late Thomas Coffey, Edward Coffey and Raymond Henderson. Mrs. Daniels was additionally loved by her 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Wednesday, June 2nd, at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Church of Saint Luke, 132 Lexington St., Belmont.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 1st from 4-7 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.
