Obituary for Edith Mae Kelly

A Funeral Service for Edith Mae (Jones) Kelly, 90, will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at 10 AM, in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown.Mrs. Kelly, a daughter of John B. and Hattie S. (Gibbs) Jones, was born in Mill Spring, No. Car. She grew up and was educated in Mill Spring graduating from Stearns High School. Mrs. Kelly had lived in Watertown for 55 years before moving to Maynard 5 years ago. Mrs. Kelly, a former Secretary at American Thread in Newton, was also in sales at Singer Sewing Machine Company in Watertown, and a Realtor as well. In more recent years she was a caregiver to the elderly. She died on Saturday, July 26, 2008, in the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice, Wayland.She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Leo Kelly who died in January 1992; devoted mother of Sharon M. Lindquist and her husband John of Maynard; loving grandmother of Johnny Lindquist of Marlborough; and the dear sister of Mildred Pope of Inman, S.C., Floyd Jones of Columbus, N.C. and the late Claude Jones, Gladys Milam and Louise Bolt. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 29th from 6-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.Funeral Services on Wednesday at 10 AM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown.
