Obituary for Elizabeth R. Stanton

A Funeral Mass for Elizabeth Ransom (Byron Tobin) Stanton, 93, will be celebrated on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 10:30 AMin the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.
Mrs. Stanton, daughter of the late Patrick and Mary A. (Foley) Tobin, was born in Boston and was a lifelong Watertown resident. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and a member of St. Patrick Alumni Association. Mrs. Stanton also was employed under the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression. For many summers, Mrs. Stanton enjoyed vacationing in Hull and at Blue Fish Cove section of Marshfield. She died peacefully at her residence on Monday, December 1, 2008.
She was the beloved wife of the late Elmer H. Stanton; devoted mother of Philip B. Stanton of Falmouth, formerly of Upton, and Elaine M. Herrmann and her husband William Herrmann of Waltham; grandmother of Brian Stanton, Erik Stanton, Kristii Reynolds and Kristen E. Blake; and great-grandmother of Sheena Stanton, Taylor Stanton and Desiree Stanton.
The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 o'clock in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Interment will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, December 4th from 4-7 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
