Obituary for Elvira Timperio

A Funeral Mass for Elvira (DiGiovine) Timperio, 91, will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

Mrs. Timperio, a daughter of the late Valerio and Antoniella (DiNardo) DiGiovine, was born in San Giacomo (Pescara), Italy. She grew up and was educated in Italy, came to the United States in 1956, and settled in Watertown. She was deeply devoted to her family and happiest when they were all together. Mrs. Timperio died on Thursday evening, December 22, 2011, in the Beth-Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston, after a sudden illness.

She was the beloved wife of the late Cesidio Timperio; devoted mother of Anne Aulenbach and her husband Richard Aulenbach of Nashua, NH, Ida Venditti and her husband Pat Venditti of West Newton and Maria McTernan and her husband Gerry McTernan of Needham; dear sister of the late Rosalina DiGiovine, Nick DiGiovine and Fiorino DiGiovine; loving grandmother of Kristen Rupell and her husband Ian Rupell, Jason Aulenbach, Stacey Ricard and her husband David Ricard, Marc Venditti and his wife Lisa Venditti, Paul Venditti and his wife Amy Venditti, Matthew Venditti, John McTernan, Julie McTernan and Lori McTernan; and adoring great-grandmother of Kate Rupell, Ryan Rupell, Sarah Venditti, Joseph Venditti and Rose Venditti.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown on Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main Street, Watertown. Interment will be in Newton Cemetery, Walnut Street, Newton.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Monday, December 26th from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the services.
