A Funeral Home Service will be held for Rev. Dr. Erle Stanley Myers, age 90, in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown on Tuesday December 3, at 11 AM.
Rev. Dr. Myers, a son of the late Abraham Ira and Anne (Morrison)Myers died on Thursday November 28, 2013 in the Stone Institute Care, Newton, MA.
Born in Salem, MA., he received his BS & MSW from Boston College and his Ed.D. from Boston University. He worked as a Clinical Social worker dealing with children. A member of the Nation Assoc. Of Social Workers, life member of International Spiritualist Federation. Rev. Dr. Myers also served in the US Navy, World War II and was the founder of the Greater Boston Church of Spiritualism in Watertown.
He was the beloved husband of the late Ida (Schmukler). Dear brother of the late Ernest Myers and Sylvia Bartenstein. Uncle of Jeuli Bartenstein of Arlington, VA, Lynne Bartenstein of Portland, OR, Jonathan Myers of Marblehead, Alan Myers & Alison Richardson both of Beverly, and Susan Sveden of Duxbury. Sister in-law of Shirley Myers of Peabody. Step-father of Jerold L. Dobrusin of Beverly and Marc S. Dobrudin of Melrose.
A visitation hour will take place in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home 270 Main St. Rte 20., Watertown, Tuesday Dec. 3, 2013 from10-11AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Relatives & friends kindly invited..
