Obituary for Joseph Kevin Dee

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 for Mr. Joseph K. Dee. Mr. Dee was born in Cambridge, a son of the late Patrick J. and Susan (Murphy) Dee. He grew up in Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School in 1940 and Boston College in 1944. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War 2. Mr. Dee worked for many years as an Insurance Agent with the Dee & McDonald Insurance Agency formerly in Waltham. He last served as the Chief Financial Officer for the New England Power Group, Inc. Joe was an avid golfer and a member of the Oakley Country Club for many years. Mr. Dee died on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the Lexington Health Care in Lexington, MA at the age of 87.
He was the beloved husband for 63 years of Jean A. (Pratt); proud father of Deborah Deneen and her husband Joseph of Attleboro, Jeffrey Dee and his wife Kathleen of Framingham, Christine Orginz of Belmont, Michael Dee and his wife Anne of Scituate, Michele Dee and Robert Dee both of Watertown, Timothy Dee and his wife Susan of Wellesley and Stephen Dee and his wife Liz of Waltham; cherished grandfather of Michele Toomey, Michael, Thomas, Christopher, Timothy and Caitlin Deneen, Jeff and Jon Dee, Jennifer Roche, Lisa Mahoney, Emily and Kimberly Dee, Timothy, Matthew and Carly Dee, David & Kristen Moran, Stephen and Allison Dee and Kathryn Dee and dear great grandfather of Patrick, Erin and Colleen Toomey, Abigail and Caroline Deneen, Sean, Meghan and Kaelyn Deneen and Patrick J. Roche. He was predeceased by his three brothers: John F. Dee, Paul J. Dee and Patrick Dee.
Funeral Services will be held from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (cnr. of No. Beacon St.) Watertown on Saturday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 O'Clock in the Church of St. Luke, 132 Lexington St., Belmont. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Friday 5-8 PM.
