Helen Fleming Obituary

Helen Louise Fleming, 86, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018. She was born April 7, 1932 in Dayton, TN the daughter of Carl and Alice Marie (White) Brady. Helen attended Rea County schools in Dayton, TN. She moved to Battle Creek, MI in December of 1953 and met the love of her life Bobby R. Fleming the 31st of that December. Helen married Bobby on February 15, 1955. She worked for Kellogg Company as a line worker from March of 1969 to her retirement on September 18, 1990. Helen enjoyed camping, watching NASCAR, and cheering for #24 Jeff Gordon. She loved hosting “old fashioned cookouts”, as she would say. Most importantly, she loved her family and the time she spent with them. She was the best mom, nana, sister, and sister-in-law. She is survived by her children, Gary (Brenda) Fleming, Cathy Reagle and son-in-law Terry Reagle, and Shawn (Joy) Fleming; daughters-in-law, Debra Fleming and Melody Myers; 25 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Susan Hutton; brother-in-law, Herb Herbstreith; and will forever be known as “Mike’s mom” to Nancy Hoard. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby; sons, Joseph and Michael Fleming; great granddaughter, Myleigh Ray Michelle Reagle; sister, Katherine Rose Herbstreith; and her best friend, Reba Baker. Visitation will be at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Friday, October 19th from 4:00-8:00 PM. A Memorial service will be held Monday, October 22nd at 1:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to the family.
