Robert Jason Labadie, 83, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at his home. He was born July 29, 1935 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Jason and Lovina (Ball) Labadie. Bob married Delores Bowerman on August 4, 1962, whom preceded him in death just this past April. He and Delores would go to Speed’s and drink coffee on a regular basis at night. Bob worked for Kellogg Company for 39 years before his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. Bob enjoyed woodworking, the outside, fishing, baseball and spending time with his dogs. He loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and grabbing an ice cream cone. He is survived by his daughter, Diana Lind; son-in-law, Charles (Teresa Hickman) Pluff; sister, Ruth Gebauer; grandchildren, Michael Lind, Jr., James (Lucia) Fish, Krystal (Darrell) Schwass, Danny Pluff, and Alexis Pluff; great grandchildren, Anntaya & Makayla Lind and Isabella & Mason Fish; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; children, Tammy Pluff, Robert Labadie, Jr., and Mike Lind; and great granddaughter, Chyanna Lind. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor Steven Olmstead of Pleasantview Family Church officiating. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation.
