November 12, 2019 Laurium Shirley J. Sullivan, 92, a resident of Laurium passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2019 at Canal View Houghton County. She was born on January 16, 1927 in Calumet. She was united in marriage to Theodore “Pete” Sullivan in 1945 and he preceded her in death in April of 1985. Locally, Shirley worked at the Stop and Shop Market in Laurium, JC Penny in Calumet and at Quality Super Value in Laurium. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Calumet and the National Catholic Society of Foresters. She was a volunteer with the Auxiliary at the hospital in Laurium and also as an election board member. Surviving are: her Daughter Kathleen (Dennis) Lewandowski of Laurium Son: Ted (Joan) Sullivan of Waukegan Grandchildren: Sean Sullivan , Marissa Sullivan and Heather Lewandowski (Don Woodraska) Friend and fiancé Bob Hodges A funeral mass will be held on Monday November 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Sacred Heart Church of Calumet with Fr. Corbin Eddy to officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday November 25, 2019 from 9:00 AM- 10:30 AM in the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet. Burial will be the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
