PATRICIA SUE POSLUSZNY, 83, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Monday, June 18, 2018 in her home. She was born October 29, 1934 in Gagetown, the fifth of eight children born to Harold and Myrtle (Dodge) Evans. She married Ronald Patrick Posluszny on April 24, 1954 in Cass City. He died February 3, 1976. Pat graduated from Cass City High School with the class of 1952. She studied and worked hard while raising her family. This enabled her to be the first female tool and die maker for Saginaw Steering Gear. Pat retired from General Motors in 1995 after over 20 years of service. Pat was very active, she enjoyed bike riding and golfing. Pat loved to travel, she loved to read and she loved nature and enjoyed being out in it. In these last few years she especially enjoyed watching the birds who visited her feeders. Pat is survived by her children: Blaise (Terry) Posluszny of Essexville, Denise (Timothy) Guinther of Deford, Ronda (David) Erla of Texas, Paula (Ryan) Wood of Dewitt; grandchildren: Ryan Posluszny, Chad (Stephanie) Posluszny, Kayla Posluszny, Joshua Nolan, Jeremy Powell, Tara Powell, Nichole Guinther, Shane (Toni) Posluszny, Courtney Wood, Brooke Wood; great grandchildren: Paige, Evan, Leigha, Marshall, Ava, Blaise, Jocquaz, Adiah, Eliana; grandson-in-law, Mike Chaney; brothers: James (Sharon) Evans of Clayton, NC, Harrold (Susan) Evans of White Lake; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sons: Mark Posluszny and Darryl Posluszny; granddaughter, Lora Chaney; life partner, Joe Wald; siblings: Richard Evans, Lorne Evans, Naomi Bork, Garry Evans and Karin “Jean” Schaffner. Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City, with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery.
