Robert “Rob” Frank Grostick, 72, of Coldwater, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being served by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Rob was born February 27, 1945 to Clarence and Esther (O’Keefe) Grostick in Detroit. After attending high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, attaining the rank of private and was honorably discharged on November 21, 1966. He married Ann Wietecha on September 20, 1975 in Toledo, Ohio. He worked as a cement truck driver for Ready-Mix in Detroit for 21 years. Rob enjoyed model railroad trains, listening to country music especially George Strait, the Detroit Tigers, University of Michigan sports. He had the gift to gab, as he would converse with anyone, he also loved being involved with his daughter in her rodeo events. Rob is survived by his loving wife Ann of 41 years; his daughter Angela (Jamie) Farris of Coldwater; his step children Cherie Carley of Onsted, Donald Carley of Taylor and Becky Carley of Taylor; his 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
