Thomas Arthur Ruhstorfer- age 67 of Lake, formerly of Flint passed away on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018. Tom was born on September 30, 1951 in Flint Michigan to parents Edward Elmer and Marion Virginia (Usher) Ruhstorfer. He married Bernadette Morris on July 28th, 1972 at St. John Vianney in Flint. Tom worked for General Motors until his retirement after which he and Bernadette moved to Lake to enjoy their golden years. Tom loved to stay busy as evidenced by his involvement with the Lake Rod & Gun Club, Firefly Golf Links where he worked as a Ranger, and his membership with the Fraternal Order of the Eagle, Burton Chapter. He also worked with his very close friend Bill Timmer who owns The Boat Doctor. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 46 years, Bernadette, his children Robert Ruhstorfer and wife Jane of Grand Blanc, Matthew Ruhstorfer and wife Tenille of Flint, Tommy Ruhstorfer and wife Rachel of Flint, daughter Marianne Zurba of Flint, ten grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, brother Don Ruhstorfer and wife Betty of Otter Lake, Mike Ruhstorfer and wife Debbie of FL, sisters Patricia Franklin and husband Gary of Millington, and Pam Ruhstorfer of Flint. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph, and sister Janice Johnson. A Memorial service is planned for Tuesday, Oct. 16th, 2018 at 1PM at the Campbell-Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, Oct 16th, from 10AM until the time of service at 1PM.
