Faye Townsend

Faye F. Townsend of Harrison, Michigan, passed away early Friday, October 21, 2011 at Mid Michigan Regional Center, Clare, age 73. Faye was born in Frost township on October 17, 1938 the daughter of Myles and Florence (Voakes) Wolsleger. She was united in marriage to Philip Townsend on November 7, 1953 in Saginaw. Faye enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, art and crafts, making quilts, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchild, especially during Christmas and spending time with her 2 dear cats. Faye will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her husband; Philip, children; Linda (Bruce) Mann, Charles Townsend both of Harrison and Ricky (Kay) Townsend of Gladwin, grandchildren; Dawn Tuck of Harrison and Lee Townsend of Gladwin, besides her parents, Faye was preceded in death by an infant son, Philip James and brothers, Raymond and Henry Gerrish. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home Inc. Pastor Tim Tanner will officiate. Burial will take place in the Cedar Crest Cemetery in Harrison, Michigan. Visitation will take place at the funeral home Monday, October 24, 2011 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Those planning a memorial contribution may wish to consider memorials to Susan G Komen, Breast Cancer Foundation.
