Obituary for Alice TenBrink

Alice TenBrink, age 84, of Holland stepped quietly into heaven at her home on Wednesday, June 01, 2005.

She was born in Gaylord, MI and moved to the Holland area in 1936. She worked for Pfaftner Bearing munitions plant during World War II and as a cook for several area restaurants including Jays, the Schooner, Dutch Village, and Windmill Restaurant. She was an active member of the Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis H. TenBrink (1973) and a son Gordon Louis TenBrink (1979).

She is survived by her children:
David and Mary TenBrink of Holland
John and Sherri TenBrink of Holland
Richard and Debbie TenBrink of Florida
Mary and Steven Lokker of Holland
Marlene Bullers of Holland
18 grandchildren
17 great-grandchildren
Brother and sister:
Harry Gordon of Clare MI
Mrs. Don (Lorraine) Schuitema of Holland
Many nephew’s nieces and cousins

Following a private graveside service a visitation celebrating Alice’s life will be held at Lakeshore Memorial Services 11939 James Street in Holland from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 3, 2005, all family and friends are invited.

Alice has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Western Michigan Teen Challenge. An on line registry book is available at www.lakeshorememorial.com for those who cannot attend the services.
