George F. Ganger, age 80, of Holland died Thursday, May 13, 2004 at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.
He was born in Detroit, MI on December 7, 1923. He served in the Army Corp. of Engineers in World War II. He studied architecture and engineering. He moved his family to West Michigan in 1957. He enjoyed a long successful career with Harley, Ellington and Day in Detroit; Elzinga and Volkers in Holland; Robinson, Campeau and Crowe and a consultant with WBDC in Grand Rapids; George F. Ganger and Assoc.; Ottawa Construction, a partnership with his son. He retired in 1998. He was preceded in death by a son in law Paul Velderman (1997).
He is survived by his beloved wife, of 56 years, Dorothy

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 17, 2004 at Lakeshore Memorial Services 11939 James Street in Holland. Burial will be in Manlius Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4PM at Lakeshore Memorial Services. Memorial contributions may be made to Robert Schuller Crystal Cathedral Ministries or the American Cancer Society. An on line registry book is available at www.lakeshorememorial.com for those who cannot attend the services.
