Obituary for Hattie Vander Kooy

Hattie Vander Kooy, age 100, of Zeeland went home to be with her Lord Thursday, January 29, 2009.

Hattie was a member of First Reformed Church in Zeeland, the Joy Group, Ladies Aid and the DAV Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 14. She was preceded in death by her husband John, sons in law Frank De Boer and Herschel Weaver and a grandson William De Boer.

She is survived by her children:
Bernice and Nelson Koeman of Zeeland
Duane and Pauline Vander Kooy of Baldwin
Kathryn and Vern Ouding of Jenison
Shirley Weaver of Zeeland
Faith and Tom Germeraad of Hudsonville

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2009 at First Reformed Church 148 East Central Avenue in Zeeland. Reverend Roger Kleinheksel will be officiating. Burial will be in Beaverdam Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8PM Friday at Lakeshore Memorial Services 11939 James St in Holland and Saturday from 1-2PM at First Reformed Church prior to the ceremony. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland. An on-line registry book is available at www.lakeshorememorial.com.
