Helen Wessels, 98

Helen I. Wessels, age 98, died Monday, October 18, 2010, at Oak Crest Manor of Holland. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John.

Surviving are her chil­dren, Nancy and John Broeils of Colorado, Janet and Paul Elzinga of Hol­land; grandchildren, Melis­sa and Michael McHale of New Jersey, Erica and Paul Allen of North Carolina, Robert and Sarah Bast and Michael and Cheryl Bast of Tennessee, Cathleen and Taylor Holbrook of New York, Carol and Philip Tyler of New Hampshire, and David and Diana Bast of Holland; 16 great­grandchildren, as well as many extended family members.

A family memorial ser­vice will take place at a later date. Memorial con­tributions may be given to Hospice of Holland. The family is being served by Lakeshore Memorial Ser­vices.
