Obituary for John Geurink

John Geurink Jr., age 77, of Zeeland died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at his home.



He was a member of Vriesland Reformed Church and was a veteran serving in the Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel (2003) and a sister Elma Kloostra (2001).



He is survived by his wife of 50 years Alice and children:

Thomas and Bonnie Geurink of Zeeland

Philip and Kathy Geurink of Hudsonville

Carol Geurink of Hudsonville

Nancy and Andrew Blesch of Zeeland

12 Grandchildren:

Trisha and Rick Zeerip, Chad, Ross, Todd, Katie, Jackie, Megan, Chris, and Hunter Geurink; John, Tim and Adam Blesch.

A memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Vriesland Reformed Church 6839 Byron Road. Reverend Mike Van Kampen will be officiating. Burial will be in Vriesland Cemetery.



Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Lakeshore Memorial Services 11939 James Street in Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan. An on line registry book is available at www.lakeshorememorial.com for those who cannot attend the services.
