Neal Exo peacefully joined his Lord on August 15, 2013.
He was born in 1928 to Neil W. and Jessie (Teerman) Exo and was a lifelong resident of Holland.
Neal graduated from Holland High in 1946 and served in the US Army occupation of Japan. He was a general building contractor for many years and specialized in custom homes and remodeling. Neal was a member of Harderwyk Ministries. He ministered many years at Bravo Christian Reformed Church as a Sunday school teacher and built the current church and parsonage. Neal liked boating, travelling and golf, but mostly enjoyed serving others in any way he could. He was proud of his family and heritage and was interested in Holland’s history.
Neal was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Carma R. (Maatman) Exo and by his brother Robert Exo.
He is survived by 3 sons: Steven and Deborah (Kyser) Exo; Rod and Jan (Greving) Exo; William ‘Bill’ Exo; his brother Warren and Susan Exo; sisters-in-law Joy Sprik and Myrtle Exo. Neal had 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, August 19 2013, at Harderwyk Ministries, 1627 W. Lakewood Blvd, Holland.
Visitation will be from Monday, from 12noon-1:00pm prior to the service at Harderwyk Church.
