Orville “Jay” Timmer, age 83, of Holland died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at his home.
He was veteran in World War II serving with the US Marine Corp in the South Pacific, Guam and Iwo Jima. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Jayne Marie and his sisters Carol Timmer and Betty Graham and sister-in-law Ann Grissen.
He is survived by his wife Alice of 59 years and children:

A memorial service with military honors will be noon on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Lakeshore Memorial Services 11939 James Street in Holland. Deacon Juan Garcia will be officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be from 11:00 �" 12:00 AM, Saturday, January 31, 2009 one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association or Hospice of Holland. An on-line registry book is available at www.lakeshorememorial.com for those who cannot attend the services.
