Obituary for R. Dale Drier

R. Dale Drier, age 72, of Holland, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 3, 2010.

Dale retired from Trendway Corporation after 17 years as an industrial engineer and was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was preceded in death his parents, Myron and Frances Drier, brother, Melvin Drier, sister, Shirley Andrews and a brother in law, Michael Korson.

Dale enjoyed glass blowing, camping, hunting and fishing, wood carving, antique tractors, working in his garden and orchards.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha and children:

Tim and Annette Drier of Sandford, MI
Trina and Michael DeKorte of Holland
5 Grandchildren:
Chelsea, Eden, Olivia Drier; Blake, Logan DeKorte

A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 480 North 152nd Avenue in Holland. Father Charles Hall will be officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8PM (with prayers at 7:30 PM) at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street in Holland and also at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10-11 AM prior to the memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. An on line registry book is available at www.lakeshorememorial.com.
