He was veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He retired from Coca Cola. He and his wife Kristi owned and operated Kristi’s Golf Range north of Zeeland. He was an avid golfer and trap shooter.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth Bouwman, and a brother John (Bud) Bouwman.

He is survived by his loving wife and sweetheart of 14 years, Kristi Bouwman of Holland. Ron loved and cherished his special relationship with Kristi’s daughters, Courtney Slinko and Tiffaney Dierolf, and their husbands, Rich Slinko and Jeff Dierolf. Grandpa Ronna/Ron adored his four grandchildren Ava (7) and Kyle Dierolf (4), and Jade (3) and Derek (1) Slinko, as well as having fun, playing, and laughing with them. He held them dear to his heart. He is also survived by his sisters, Harriet and Bill Mulder, and Marjorie and Arnold Pasma of California, Shirley and Alvin Meiste of Holland; Brother, Elmer Don and Allie Bouwman of Zeeland; Sisters-in-law, Pat Bouwman, of California, Lisa Miller of Holland; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for 7:00pm Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Second Reformed Church, 225 E. Central Ave., Zeeland.

Visitation will be Sunday, from 6:00pm until the time of the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or to DeVos Children’s Hospital.
