It was warmth and creation of a friendly atmosphere at PROCURE that was created by the patients and family members like Ron and Kristi that allowed all of us to better endure the treatments. Ron's strength of character and Kristi's unwavering support was an inspiration to all. Are prayers are with you.

Kristi, The sun did set on my best friends life on December 4, 2013 but it also rose for him on that same date in heaven. If I could ask Ron how it is in heaven I think he would say, "SWEET"

I was a boyhood friend of Ron from the school in Borculo, and off to high school while I later drifted off to college and Ron to Grand Rapids JC.. Ron served as the “Best Man” when I married nearly fifty years ago.. I always thought of Ron with trust, confidence and real affection Earliest memories were walking the cornfields to his home in the country at times snow covered and always a very long way. His mother was waiting with hot chocolate. I found comfort in his friendship and joy in the companionship. Ron played football throughout high school and later at GRJC. He thought I should also play and I too learned to love the sport albeit a bit later. We both played end and joked that we did so because we heard that girls would be "true" to the end. I am not sure that we had a great team but the time was memorable. Later he convinced me to run track and this I did not love so much. I do know that he always had the fastest time in the first quarter of the mile run. Both of us learned lesson that could not be found in textbooks, lectures, or recitation. We both ran for office in the ZHS Class of ’60 and were not impeached. I found Ron to be supportive, generous, loyal, and funny. Life has a way of crowding out friends as the immediate family takes priority. However, when we did reconnect as friends it was as if no time had passed. The last time we played golf, I am not sure who won the match. It did not matter. What did matter is that we played, laughed and loved.

Kristie and family,
You have our most heartfelt Christian sympathy in the homegoing of our cousin Ron. We are truly blessed you both had so many wonderful years and memories with the kids and grand kids. We pray that as you grieve you can claim Ps. 16:ll "You have made know to me the path of life; you will fee me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right had."
