Donald Fell

Donald Raymond Fell, age 98, of Ionia, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2017. He was born July 19, 1919 to Winfield and Sadie (Monks) Fell. Donald worked in service and maintenance for several local dealerships and was a proud veteran, serving during WWII. He was a very well-known, renowned Square Dance Caller. Donald loved being outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, and especially taking pontoon rides in the evening. Surviving Donald are his wife of 10 years, Margaret “Peg” Fell; children, Jerry (Sharon) Fell, Connie (Bob) Byrd, Sharon (Jack) Unger, and Linda (David) May; grandchildren, Lori (Michael) Odle, Mike (Laura) Hager, Scott (Keli) Fell, Stacey (Bob) Nurenberg, Jason Jackson, Patrick Christopher, Clair May, and Deanne Fell; great-grandchildren, Heather (Ron) Stacey, Zakk (Samantha) Fell, Cati Fell, Nicole (Jimmy) Hissong, Kati Odle, Ella Hager, Savanna Hager, Griffin Hager, Kramer Nurenberg, and Jessie Nurenberg; and great-great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jenna, Cameron, Jackson, Carson, TayLynn, and Marinda. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Rosella; mother, Sadie Monks; father, Winfield Fell; and brother, Louis Fell. The Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Johnathon Bratt Carle at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, Ionia. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich Street, Ionia.
