Gloria Juanita Peterson
<p>Gloria Juanita Peterson, age 95 a lifelong resident of Manistee, died on March 28, 2017.</p><p>Gloria was born on January 7, 1922 in Ludington, the daughter of the late John and Charity Schrader. </p><p>She attended Manistee High School. On January 21, 1943, she married Milton “Mickey” Peterson at the parsonage of the Methodist Church in Manistee. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1992. Gloria and Mickey owned and operated “Mrs. P’s” concession van at Fifth Avenue Beach in Manistee for 10 years, creating summer memories for locals and area visitors alike. Gloria is survived by her son, Milton Jr. “Mickey” Peterson of Onekama; daughter, Melody Peterson of Jenison, MI and Ajijic, Mexico; grandchildren Craig Peterson (Lynn) of Onekama, Tami Henry (David), Hudsonville and David Rose (Noreen) Grandville. Great grandchildren, Morgan Henry, Clarissa Kovacs, Mackenzie Henry, Russell Rose, Brittney Rose, Shelby Rose and Kyle Peterson, also, her sister-in-Law, Jean Schrader and numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p>She was preceded in death by her siblings; Georgia Fisher Lafleur, Ruth Beebe, Geneva Schrader, Donald, Oberhugh “Obe”, John, Lacey, Roger “Pete”, William “Bill” Schrader and daughter-in-law, Noreen (Schimke) Peterson. </p><p>Cremation has taken place and a family memorial gathering will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 5:15PM with Pastor Mark O'Brien officiating. </p><p>Please visit Gloria’s personal book of memories page at www.oakgrovefh.com to share a story or photo with the family. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Obituary
