Paula Duford Obituary

Paula Irene Baker Duford passed away of cancer on March 24, 2017, at her home at Hart, Michigan. She was the first child of Joan Elaine Baker and John H. Baker Jr, born on June 6, 1949, in Midland. She lived and worked in Midland until twenty years ago, when she moved to Hart, and began living happily in her own way. She spent her time driving the elderly and infirm to appointments, and shopping and delivering according to their needs and requests, as well as having fun with her loyal friends. She tried to visit her mother each month in Midland, playing cards and Scrabble, and laughing together. She was better at helping others than herself, and never quit smoking, which contributed to her lung cancer. She is survived by her sister, Deborah Baker Hulse (Bob) and niece, Pamela Baker, and was predeceased by parents, John and Joan, sisters Jackie Shamblin and Pamela Baker, and brothers John Baker and Edward Baker. Arrangements are being made at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. A small private service is being planned.
