Peter Daniel Johnson, age 71 of Ludington passed away peacefully, at his home with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Peter; son of the late Peter and Betty (Smith) Johnson was born on February 26, 1946 in Ludington. He attended Ludington Schools. He married Nancy Fogarty on November 26, 1971 at Nancy’s home in Ludington. They brought their daughter into the world in June of 1973 He very much enjoyed spending time with his wife. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He worked most of his life as a laborer in the construction industry. Peter is survived by his wife; son and daughter in-laws: Dan and Brenda Claveau of Scottville; daughter and son in-law: Danielle and Donald Huizenga of Greenwood South Carolina; siblings: Dale (Deloris) Johnson; Gary Johnson; Loretta (Vern) Krause; Ester Kubat; sister in-law: Sandy Johnson; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Bobby Johnson; niece: Karen Johnson and nephew: Jerry Johnson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2017 at the Church of Christ in Ludington, (3816 W. Fountain Rd., off from Angling Rd.), at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Steve officiating.
