David Lee Wildern was born in Groton, Connecticut on December 2, 1978. He was born from the union of James Wildern and Deborah (Taylor) Wildern. David attended Jefferson High School.
For many years David worked as a laborer. He medically retired several years ago. David was engaged to be married to Samantha Raymond, and they were looking forward to a July of 2012 wedding. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold em at Sharkies in Monroe. He also loved to play bingo with his mom and fiancé. The three of them played wherever they find a game including the Knights of Columbus and Eagles. David was extremely fond of his daughter Alexandrea. He cherished nothing more than there time together. Visiting the park was one of their favorite activities. David also had several very close friends that he liked to hang with. David had a special bond with his future father-in-law Terrence Raymond, and could often be found helping out by working in his yard.
David Lee Wildern age 32 of Deerfield formerly of Monroe passed away at 3:32am, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at The Toledo Hospital. His passing was preceded by his best friend Tim Smith in 2010.
To cherish his memory he leaves his parents: Deborah Metcalf (Scott Beaudrie) of Monroe and James (----) Wildern of Vandalia, Ohio; his fiancé: Samantha Raymond of Deerfield; his daughter: Alexandrea Wildern of Deerfield; two sisters: Teanna Wildern and Lacy Casto both of Monroe; a step brother: Robert Metcalf; three step sisters: Salina Price, Connie Apperson, and Cathy Metcalf; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather from 12:00pm until 2:00pm, Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 2:00pm. His friend Jermaine Twilley will lead a time of sharing. Cremation will follow.
