James Francis Roman was born in Renton, Pennsylvania on March 16, 1940. He was the son of the late John Roman and the late Mary (Pontone) Roman. James enlisted in the military, and served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy. After leaving the service he settled in Wyandotte, Michigan. He married the love of his life the former Valley Wilson in Toledo, Ohio on November 9, 1993.
For thirty-five years, James was employed by the Ford Motor Company. He worked at the Dearborn Engine Plant. James was a member of the UAW Local 600.
James was a kind and giving person. James was a funny man, a good husband, and a wonderful father and grandfather. He loved to cook and those who were fortunate enough to enjoy one of his meals probably had a few extra pounds to show for it. James and Val loved to travel and visited much of the United States. They especially enjoyed going Up North. He was very fond of his grandchildren and he enjoyed doting over them. James loved music, singing, and the great outdoors he was an avid fisher and hunter. He was also an antiques expert, and he looked forward to his next great find.
