Mariann Elizabeth Peca was born on August 30, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan. She was one of three children from the union of the late Robert Krauss and late Marjorie Krauss. Mariann graduated from Bishop Borgess high school with the all-girls class of 1971. She later received her certificate as a licensed beautician.
Mariann supported her family by employment at various places; most recently she worked as a clerk for Salvation Army, taking retirement in 2014. She was a proud mother that dedicated her life to her children, Mitchell Stephen, Morgan Ashleigh and son-in-law Greg. Her first priority was to raise her children to know God, making sure they accepted all the sacraments in Church. Mariann was very proud to be Catholic and instilled that pride in her children as well. She was a sweet, selfless, loving, humorous, kind, and generous woman. She was simple yet optimistic; always showing her family the love and support she had within.
She was a fabulous cook, as a proud Italian American woman, she put her heart and soul into her cooking and canning. She took special pride in her homemade pickles and peppers. As well as, her signature spaghetti sauce, lasagna and veal parmigiana. She was appreciative of nature, spending many hours outside.
