Services: A Funeral Mass for Clarence will be held on Monday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Father Thomas McNamara officiating.

Visitation: The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 30th from 7-9 p.m., Sunday, July 1st from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel and on Monday, July 2nd from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. A vigil service will be held on Sunday, July 1st at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Clarence William Lorenz, 83, of Coldwater Lake passed away on Friday, June 29, 2007 at his home.

A Funeral Mass for Clarence will be held on Monday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Father Thomas McNamara officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 30th from 7-9 p.m., Sunday, July 1st from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel and on Monday, July 2nd from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. A vigil service will be held on Sunday, July 1st at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker School, VFW – Weidman Post or the Knights of Columbus in Beal City. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.

Clarence was born on November 21, 1923 in Isabella County, the son of Peter and Loretta (Bierschbach) Lorenz. He graduated from St. Philomena High School, class of 1941. Clarence served in the United States Navy from 1943 until 1945. He worked as a carpenter for the local union. Clarence was the past Commander of the Weidman VFW Post and past Grand Knight at the Beal City Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Barryton Conservation Club, Clare Moose Lodge, the NRA and Pheasants Forever. Clarence enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Clarence is survived by his sister, Vera Straus of Weidman; brothers, Ron (Teresa) Lorenz and Bill (Eva) Lorenz both of Mt. Pleasant; brother-in-law, Paul Simmer of Mt. Pleasant and sister-in-law, Helen Lorenz of Rothbury, MI.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack and LaVern; sisters, Rosie Simmer and MaryLou Theisen and brother-in-law, Max Straus.

Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker School, VFW – Weidman Post or the Knights of Columbus in Beal City. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.
