James Pierce Mr. James "Mark" Pierce, age 85, of Nashville passed away Monday, March 8th, 2021 in Charlotte, MI. James was born in Eaton County, MI on April 16, 1935, the son of the late Oscar and Leona (Terwilleger) Pierce. He was raised in the Bellevue area, and attended local schools graduating from Nashville Kellogg High School. Shortly after completing his education, James began working at Kellogg's in Battle Creek, MI as a machine repairman, a position held for over 42 years before retiring in 1997. He was the husband of Betty (Gould) Pierce.The couple were married on September 4,1960 in Bellevue MI. They made their home in the Nashville area where they raised their family together. James enjoyed farming.He also enjoyed heading West to Kansas and North Dakota with friends and family for the annual pheasant and goose hunting trip. James enjoyed spending time at the local race tracks and watching local legend Sammy Sessions race. James is survived by his beloved wife Betty, his son,Terry (Cheryl) Pierce, 2 grandchildren Samantha (Scott) Redman, Lauren (Bryan) Pasciak, and 2 great grandchildren Emery & Pierce Pasciak, and a Brother Dewight Pierce He was preceded in death by his son James K. Pierce and 7 brothers & sisters. The family will receive visitors on Friday March 12, 2021 from 5-7 PM at The Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville. Graveside Services will be held privately at The Wilcox Cemetery on Saturday, March 13th, with Lester DeGroot officiating.
