Shirley Evans Shirley June (Feeney) Evans of Battle Creek, passed away June 10, 2017 at her home in Nashville, MI surrounded by her husband of 42 years, James (Abe) Evans and her children, Kevin Hoffman, Marta Webb, Shelly Currier & Son in Law Jesse Currier. Born on June 17, 1941 to parents, Lawrence and Vena Wise, of Battle Creek, the 5th of 8 children. She is survived by brothers, Lawrence wise Jr, Charles (Buddy) Wise & Sarah (Jane) Whitney. Also 3 step children, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many other in laws, nieces, nephews and other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David Wise and sisters, Marie Kornoelje, Lois Barroso, and Christine Raines. Also by beloved stepson, Timothy Evans and nephew Charles ( Little Bud) Wise. She was a Jehovah's Witness for over 40 years and enjoyed spending time in bible studies, and field service as well as her related activities and brothers & sisters from The Kingdom Hall. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved animals and watching reruns of old tv shows ( particularly Walker Texas Ranger) She was very devoted to her family and enjoyed outings and traveling whenever she could. She was thoughtful, considerate & loving. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. A private family service is being planned for a later date.
