Ada Tingley Obituary

Ada Ann Tingley Belding, MI Age 73, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2007. She was born on December 6, 1933 in Lyons, Michigan the daughter of Walter Steven and Mary Atherton. Ada enjoyed spending time in her garden, planting flowers and camping. She also enjoyed spending time with her dogs and watching birds of all kinds, especially cardinals. Ada is preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Gerald Lee Tingley; and step-daughter, Sharon Taylor. Surviving are her loving husband of 32 years, Ora Tingley Jr.; sons, Steven (Karen) Johnson of Belding and Robert Glenn (friend Naomi Baxter) Johnson of Greenville; step-sons, Dennis Tingley of Skaney, MI; Duanne (Linda) Tingley of Wyoming, MI and Kenneth (Vicki) Tingley of Grand Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ann Ladner, Betty Oddet, Virginia Lamphere, Helen Cameron and special sister-in-law, Gladys (Carl) Heald; brothers-in-law, Marvin Wood, Lemuel (friend Sandy Evans) Tingley, Robert (Marge) Tingley and Bob Mier; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia.
