Olivet formerly of Portland Beloved father, grandfather passed away on January 7, 2007. He was born in Sunfield, the son of Aaron and Grace Ives. He married Mildred Ives on October 26, 1937 and she preceded him in death on March 23, 1993. He was also preceded in death by his parents a brother, Stanley Ives and his daughter, Patricia Girdwood. Winston retired in 1977, after 30 years as a meat cutter forr the Sunfield IGA Store. He also worked as a T.V. technician for 25 years at Beebe's T.V. Shop in Ionia. Surviving are a daughter, Denise (Chris) Beechler; 5 Grandchildren Teresa (Dave) Pietrangelo, Perry (Cathy) Chenoweth, Melanie (Chad) Pierce, Jeremy (Becky) Beechler and Angela (Nicholas) Hartwick; 10 Great Grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Robert Girdwood at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Interment will be in East Sebewa Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
