Alice Hengesbach

Age 81, passed away on Saturday October 22, 2011. She was born on January 31, 1930 in Westphalia, MI the daughter of Lawrence and Theresa (Pohl) Hengesbach. Alice had a great love for children, taking any opportunity to babysit, and was always very involved with her family throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Clark; brothers, William, Stanley and Reynold Hengesbach; sister-in-law, Joanne Hengesbach. Surviving are her brothers, Linus (Pat) Hengesbach and Albert (Wilma) Hengesbach; sister-in-law, Rosie Hengesbach; brother-in-law, Bill Clark; many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland, with Rev. Larry King, Pastor presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia, MI. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland. Rosaries will be prayed at 3 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Fr. Flohe Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
