Passed away at her home in Inglis, FL on July 8, 2012. She was born on February 22, 1932 and lived most of her life in Portland, MI, moving to Florida several years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeVern Keefer in 1979 and Olive Fell Keefer in 1978, and her only brother, Bernard T. Keefer in 1977. Survivors include her nieces, Jean (David) Bennett of Florida, Michele (Eugene) Stec of Michigan, Kathie (John) Jeffery of Florida, and nephew, Bernard T. Keefer, Jr. of Florida; and several great nieces, nephews and cousins; also, a life long special friend, Miriam Russell of Michigan. Alice and her loving husband, Lyle VanDyke enjoyed 46 years of marriage until his death in 2001. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland, FL, and Lehman Funeral Home in Portland, MI. Final resting place will be in Portland Cemetery next to Lyle. Rest in Peace Alice. No services are being planned at this time.
