Anna Rose Shindorf Muir Age 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. She was born on April 17, 1932 the daughter of Edward and Flora Bennett. Anna graduated from Lyons High School in 1953, she was a member of the Evergreen Chapter O.E.S. #334, a member of the White Shrine #41, a member of First Christian Church in Ionia and worked as a house keeper at (I.C.M.H.) Sparrow Hospital in Ionia retiring on April 18, 1997. On December 19, 1969 she married Earl “Bud” Shindorf. She was preceded in death by her husband, “Bud”; step-son, Ronnie Shindorf; sister, Cora Despres. Surviving are her daughters Kathy Rice of Lansing and Joyce Craven of Charlotte; 19 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother, Edward (Monna) Bennett of Alpena; sister, Ada Johnson of Muir. The Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Mike Arnold at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 4700 N. Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906. A luncheon will follow. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 2120 E. Bridge St., Portland.
