Arlene Loughlin Obituary

Age 88, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at St. Ann's Home in Grand Rapids. She was born on May 6, 1917 in Belding, MI the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Ligney) Byrne. Arlene married Joseph "Joe" Loughlin on November 30, 1946. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, and a faithful member of the Altar Society of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; sisters, Florence and Leah; brother, Alvin. Surviving are her brother, Jim Byrne and wife Kate and many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Melvin Fox, Pastor at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. Rite of Committal will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Parnell. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Saturday. A Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. Friday. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ss. Peter and Paul Development Fund, or to St. Ann's Building Fund in Grand Rapids, in memory of Mrs. Arlene E. Loughlin.
