Brendon Nurenberg Portland, Michigan Obituary

Brendon Nurenberg

Westphalia Age 18, passed away on November 7, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident. Brendon was born on September 23, 1993 to Terry and Lisa (Hengesbach) Nurenberg. Brendon was known for his BIG heart. He loved children and often babysat for his younger cousins. He was a very affectionate person, never leaving a family gathering without giving his grandparents a hug, kiss and an "I Love You". He enjoyed hunting (having bagged a doe this bowseason), trapping, golfing, fantasy football, spending time at Chippewa Lake, and being with his family and friends. Brendon was very athletic and excelled as a member of the Pewamo-Westphalia Varsity Baseball Team. Brendon joins his infant brother and his "Grandpa Louie" Hengesbach at the gates of Heaven. Along with his parents, he will be sadly missed by his two best friends loving brothers Clayton and Logan Nurenberg; special friend, Kelsey Pung; his adoring grandparents Evelyn Hengesbach and Ron and Bev Nurenberg; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; He also leaves behind his cat, Manny. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Conlon at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St. The rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m., Wednesday and 3 p.m., Thursday. We would like to express our extreme gratitude to the staff at Sparrow Hospital. A special thanks goes to his wonderful and compassionate nurses, Katrina and Karen. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
