Carol Fosburg Obituary

Age 71, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2005. She was born on September 1, 1934 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Verdier and Marian (McIntire) Joslin. Mrs. Fosburg was a member of LeValley United Methodist Church Choir, a member of the Ionia Community Band and a member of the Community Theater. Carol married Richard Fosburg on October 12, 1953. She was an Assistant at Friend of the Court for 28 years, and she loved music and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David; sister, JoAnne Arends. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Dick Fosburg of Ionia; son, Douglas (Marina) Fosburg of Ionia; daughter, Linn (Tom) Plett of Ionia; grandchildren, Tim (Carrie) Plett of Virginia, Adam, Samuel and Thomas Plett, all of Ionia; great grandchildren, Kylie and Titus Plett; sisters, Mary Jo (Bob) Conley of Battle Creek, Judy (Phil) Asilia of Manistee and Betsy Lichtenfelt of Edmore; several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Mark Johnson at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2005 at LeValley United Methodist Church, Ionia. Interment will follow at Tuttle Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to LeValley United Methodist Church, or to the Ionia County Commission on Aging, in memory of Mrs. Carol Ann Fosburg.
