Carol Jean Puroll Ionia, MI Mrs. Carol Jean Puroll, 68, of Ionia passed away on November 14, 2007. She was born the daughter of Russell and Eva (Ashbrenner) Luttman on November 20, 1938 in Livonia, Michigan. Carol worked at Consumers Power Company in Ionia for many years. She married Joseph Puroll on August 10, 1957; and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2006. Carol is also preceded in death by 8 siblings. Surviving are her son, Edward (Amy) Puroll of Ionia; daughter, Jean (Stephen) Griep of Oakwood, Ohio; and 6 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 611 W. North Street, Gaylord, MI 49735, with Rev. Richard Hannon presiding. Rite of Committal will take place in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 135 N. Center Ave., Gaylord, MI., with a rosary to be prayed at 8:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to Catholic Social Services.
