Age 64, passed away at Heartland Healthcare Center of Ionia, MI on Tuesday, October 18, 2005. She was born on September 23, 1941 in Hillsdale, MI the daughter of Duane "Bud" and Audrey (Ennis) Hill. Catharine was a long term resident of Charlotte, MI until her illness took her to Ionia. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Chester Alfred Vermillion. Surviving are her children, Lisa (Loren) Piper, Roy (Jo-Ann) Wren of Eaton Rapids, Duane (Stacey) Wrenn of Rozet, Wyoming, Steven (Jessica) Wrenn of Charlotte, Wade Adam Vermillion of Eaton Rapids, Rebecca (Rusty Norton) Vermillion of Eaton Rapids; 8 grandchildren; 1 step granddaughter; 2 step grandsons; 1 step great grandson; brothers, James and Charles Hill; sisters, Patricia Baker of Muskegon, Janet (John) Kirkby of Lowell and Pamela Kay Hill of Charlotte; 4 nieces; 2 nephews; many grand nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her special family: Dotty and Victor Watson, Jr. of Olivet; 2 special granddaughters; 3 special great grandchildren; many close friends. The Funeral Service was conducted by Pastor Karl Tsatalabidis at 12:30 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2005 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ionia. The family received friends at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment took place at Perry Cemetery in Charlotte. Complete arrangements were entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Ionia.
