CHARLES RAY MYERS WESTPHALIA, MI On Thursday, September 20, 2012, Charles Ray Myers, son of Herman, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 70. He was born on November 2, 1941 in Fowler, MI the son of Herman and Mira (Sims) Myers. Charles was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, a member of the U.A.W. #652, and retired from Oldsmobile after 42 years of service. Charles also proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved being with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing trips with his children and brothers, spending time at the cottage at Coldwater Lake, and woodworking. Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Norma Claeys and Karen Myers. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Phyllis Myers; children, Donna (Dave) Rademacher, Doug (Jamie) Myers, and Emily (Brian) Densmore; grandchildren, Lance, Lora, Lee, Logan, Isabella, Megan, Amie, Jacob, and Kendall; great granddaughter, Jonnie Lynn; brothers, Jack, Richard, Gerry, Mark, Al, and Ernie Myers; sisters, Eloise Brown, Fay Schmitz, Susan George, and Grace Thelen. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia, with Rev. James Conlon presiding. Military Honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post #3733 immediately following the Mass. Rite of Committal will take place at a later date in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. Rosaries will be prayed at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday. Complete arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
