Charles Quasius Obituary

Charles J. Quasius (Coke) Age 82, of Ripley, MI, passed away peacefully on Jan. 12, 2007 in Ionia, MI. He was born on Oct. 7, 1924 in Ripley, the son of Albert & Rosalie Quasius. He left Ripley to serve in the U.S. Navy during WWII and then settled in Highland Park, MI., working as an electrical inspector for the City. He met and married his beloved wife Phyllis in 1946. She preceded him in death in 2000 after 53 years of marriage. He enjoyed camping, fishing and taking long drives in the country. He was a lifetime member of AmVets Post 57, Harper Woods, MI. He retired and moved back to Ripley in 1987. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and an infant son and daughter. He is survived by three daughters, Barbara (William) Case of Lapeer, MI., Pamela (Phillip) McCrum of Portland, MI., and Sandra (Robert) Blair of Portland, MI., four grandchildren, Michael McCrum, David Case, Victoria and Elizabeth Blair, two sisters, Vern Isaacson of Dollar Bay MI., and Jeanette Jeanotte of St. Clair Shores, MI., and many nephews and nieces. There will be no visitation. Graveside memorial will take place in the Spring. Memorial donations can be directed to the Ionia Area Hospice or a charity of your choice.
