Christopher John "Tiny" Smith Westphalia, Michigan Age 70, devoted father, grandfather and brother passed away with his children at his side on Friday, May 15, 2015. He was born on January 25, 1945 in St. Johns, MI the son of Vincent and Loyola (Elias) Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westphalia. Christopher loved Nascar, western movies and hunting. He was a 7 year cancer survivor. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Ronald (Sue) and Joseph Smith; brother-in-law, William Nurenberg. Surviving are his daughters, Kelly Martin and Anne (Ridge) Tiller; grandchildren, Ashlynn and Johnathan Martin; siblings, Agatha Nurenberg, Edward (Linda) Smith, Hubert Smith, Robert (Beverly) Smith, and Michael Smith; many nieces and nephews; his dog, Angel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia, with Rev. Eric Weber presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland, and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. Rosaries will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and 3 p.m. Wednesday, and a Scriptural Wake Service held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
