Westphalia Age 93, passed away Monday, June 5, 2006. She was born on December 30, 1912 in Westphalia the daughter of George and Anna (Koenigsknecnt) Thelen. Mrs. Knoop was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westphalia. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; daughter, Jane; grandsons, Bruce & Timmy Rowell; sister, Eva Simon; and brothers, Alfred, Otto and Gregor Thelen. She is survived by her children, Catherine (Ray) Rowell of Fowler, Ann Marie (Lawrence) Pung of Portland; Judy (Ray) Fedewa of Portland, Rita (Wayne) Thelen of Lima, Ohio, Henry (Donelyn) Knoop of Ionia, John (Cynthia) Knoop of Portland, and Dennis Knoop of Fenwick; 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; her brother Edmund (Lillian) Thelen and sister-in-law, Mabelle Thelen. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Cecilio Reyna, Pastor and Rev. Karl Pung (Mrs. Knoop's grandson) at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St.. The rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 3 p.m. on Wednesday. A Scripture Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m., Wednesday. For those wishing, contributions may be made to the Fr.
