Age 89, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2008. He was born on May 19, 1918 in Cedar Springs, MI the son of Lewis and Florence (Ogg) Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army Air Corp., was a member of the Sheridan VFW Post, and retired from the Michigan Reformatory after many years of service. Cliff was an avid hunter who was the Past President of the Michigan Rifle and Pistol Association. Mr. Ferguson loved to fly, holding a private pilot's licence, and was known as one of the best bartenders in Ionia. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Barry; brothers, C.B., Don, and George; sister, Leona. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Virginia; children, Larry (Kathleen) Ferguson of Otsego, Gary L. (Janice) Ferguson of Ionia, Craig (Jean) Ferguson of Saranac, and Debbie Waterman of Ionia; daughter-in-law, Cathy Ferguson of Ionia; son, Ron Ferguson of Greenville; daughter, Linda (Mike) Timiney of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Leola Wieczorek; several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Servcie will be conducted by the Rev. Kendall Harger, Associate Pastor of Shiloh Community Church at 11 am Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia. Interment will take place in the spring at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
