Obituary
Age 62, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was born on February 23, 1950 in Ypsilanti, MI the son of Roy and Patricia (Cale) Nichols. David was a talented painter, cartoonist, and caretaker. He lost his long battle with Hepatitis C, which he contracted while serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Carol Nichols; son, Joshua Nichols; brothers, Scott Nichols, and James (Cindy) Nichols; sister, Laura (Bryan) Thompson; step sons, Joseph Keiser and Alfred Fischer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial gathering will be held at the Portland United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 2-5 p.m.. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
