Portland Dee went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2011 surrounded by her family after a long illness of cardiac issues. She was born on November 30, 1935 in St. Johns, the daughter of James and Floella Woodhams. She retired from G.M. after several years of service. Delores was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Dee was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Richard L. Bashore, Jr.; grandsons Richard L. Bashore III and Clayton Bashore. Surviving are her children Terry Bashore (husband, Archie Lumbert) of Potterville, Rodney (Deb) Bashore of Portland and Steve (Tina) Bashore of Portland; daughters-in-law Patricia Villegas-Bashore of Lansing and Nadine Psenkzi of Kansas City, MO; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister Barbara Holdridge; brother, Alvin (Joyce) Woodhams; many nieces and nephews and the "River Rats". The Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Ed Filter at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2011 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 8990 Church Rd., St. Johns.
